Tying Instructions/Information: 1.Tie in a clump of black marabou for the tail. I like to start the tie in point for the tail about 3/4 of the way up the hook shank. This eliminates the bulge at the tail. 2.Fasten a long black saddle hackle in by the tip. 3.Tie in the chenille and wrap forward. Trim the chenille and tie in 4-6 pieces of green KrystalFlash on each side of the hook. 4.Pull the Krystalflash back along each side and while holding it in your left hand, wrap your saddle hackle up the hook. Trim the KrystalFlash to the same length as the tail. 5.Tie in a webby black saddle just behind the hook eye. Take two or three turns, fasten down, and trim 6.Whip finish and cement. Note: If you want to weight the fly, try adding the weight to front third of the fly only. It gives it a very interesting swimming effect. |
