Tying Instructions 1. Tie in 4-6 blue dun hackle fibers length of hook shank 2. Tie in Quill Body by small end about halfway down bend. Be sure to soak the quill in water prior to tying or it will break. Wrap quill 2/3 up hook shank in overlapping turns. 3. Dub a spiky thorax with olive brown dubbing. 4. Tie in the CDC feather and using a dubbing needle, form a small loop over the thorax. Bind it down just back from the hook eye. 5. Build a small head with the tying thread and whip finish.
