1.Wrap tying thread at the bend of the hook and tie in tips of tail feather fibers to form the tail of the fly. Fiber tips should extend one hook gap width past the bend. Do not trim butt ends of tail feather fibers. 2.Tie in a length of fine copper wire at the bend and remove thread. 3.Wrap the pheasant tail fibers about 2/3 of the shank toward the eye of the hook. 4.Counter wrap the copper wire (5-6 turns) and tie off. 5.Tie in several pheasant tail fibers for wing case and legs6.Dub a thorax slightly larger than the abdomen 7.Bring the pheasant tail fibers forward over the abdomen to form a wing case and tie off. 8.Tie off the legs, form a small thread head, whip finish, and cement.
