1.Wrap
the thread onto the hook and attach the wire ribbing at the bend.
2.Dub a slender body of muskrat 2/3 of the way up the hook. 3.Tie in a brown hackle and wrap in backwards to the bend of the hook. Secure the hackle by wrapping the wire ribbing forward. Tie off the wire. 4.Tie in a small clump of elk hair to form the wing, making it about the length of the hook. 5.Grab the hair butts and hold them out of the way while you whip finish the thread. 6.Trim the butts back toward the wing to form a head.
