Tying Instructions 1.Mount a 3/32" copper bead at the front of the hook. Tie in thread and wind it toward to rear of the hook. Tie in three pheasant tail fibers for the tail. 2.Tie in a piece of fine gold wire for the rib. Tie in a clump of 4- 6 strands of Flashabou for the flashback, 3.Tie in 5 or 6 pheasant tail fibers and wind them forward to form the abdomen. Pull the Flashabou forward over the abdomen, tie it off, wind the wire forward to form the rib and secure it with the thread. 4.Tie in a larger clump of Flashabou for the wing case, then dub a spikey thorax with the Haretron dubbing. 5.Tie the CDC feather in by the tip (the feather should have barbules long enough to reach the bend of the hook) and wind it forward while stroking the barbules toward the rear of the hook, 3 or 4 turns. Tie the feather off, pull the Flashabou over the thorax, and tie it off. If you want to hide the thread behind the bead, use a tiny bit of dubbing on your thread.
